COMPANY OVERVIEW
Project Overview
With a height of 321 metres, the 202-suite luxury hotel sits on its own man-made island 300 metres offshore.
The scope of work included construction of the 56-storey seven star hotel, interior finishes of the suites, fit-out for the non-public areas of the hotel and the building’s sail feature. Several features of the hotel required complex engineering feats to achieve the final result, due to the cutting edge design of the project.
The building contains over 70,000 cubic metres of concrete and 9,000 tonnes of steel and was built through a joint venture between Habtoor Leighton Group and South African construction company, Murray & Roberts.
