Their safety, welfare and wellbeing are fundamental to how we operate, so it is pleasing to be recognised for this achievement.”

As a four-star rated company, BIC Contracting will be given priority in government projects, providing the company with a competitive advantage.

The Government of Dubai’s Taqdeer Award is the world’s first points-based award programme aimed at setting international benchmarks in labour welfare and honouring excellence in labour relations for construction companies.

Participating companies provide examples of their best employment practices and use of global benchmarks including labour policies, facilities and infrastructure, health and safety, labour security, recruitment and wages, justice and transparency, communication and feedback, creativity and innovation, administration, labour perceptions and key performance indicators. Entrants are evaluated by an independent judging committee.
