Project Overview
The construction of Rashid Hospital was executed in two phases.
Phase one saw the construction of the Infectious Diseases Unit, VIP block, nurses residential and dining rooms, kitchen block, recreational block, open-air swimming pool and tennis courts, and external works. This phase covered a total built-up area of over 47,000 square metres.
Phase two included the construction of the open access clinic, emergency department, pathology wing, administrative department and completion of the external works.
The hospital was constructed using reinforced concrete piled foundations, slabs, columns and beams with cavity walls, and concrete block work.
