Project Overview
BIC Contracting LLC (previously known as HLG Contracting LLC) is responsible for the construction of the GCC's first Proton Therapy Centre in Saudi Arabia. The project is being delivered in joint venture with Al Latifia Trading and Contracting.
The Proton Therapy Centre will be located in the centre of Riyadh and is part of the Ministry of Health King Fahad Medical City Prince Salman Heart Centre Expansion project. Known as the PPNNCC, the project involves the construction of new medical centres on the current King Fahad Medical City campus.
Spanning three levels, the Proton Therapy Centre includes two basement levels and has a visually striking ground floor entrance. While linked to the main hospital building and a new Central Services Building (also awarded to BIC Contracting and Al Latifia Trading and Contracting under a separate package), the Proton Therapy Centre will be separately contained.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is being used as the central coordination tool to support the construction process and client communications, with the project running on an 18-month construction program to enable the installation and commissioning of medical equipment prior to its opening.
