Project Overview
The project included the construction of the 630-bed New Dubai Hospital.
The scope of work included the construction of 10 floors of hospital wards that covered 33,000 square metres, as well as a two-storey accident and emergency podium that housed outpatient services and treatment departments.
The project also included the construction of on-site staff accommodation, which covered an area of 6,000 square metres. The project design catered for the latest in medical technology at the time, with a complex network of on-site infrastructure able to service the needs of hospital patients and staff.
Overall, the construction used 44,000 cubic metres of site-batched concrete and 4,500 tons of steel. It was completed in 17 months, five months ahead of schedule.
