Project Overview
Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) has signed a contract with the Habtoor Leighton Group (Presently BIC Contracting) for the construction of infrastructure integral to the Abu Dhabi International Airport expansion.
BIC Contracting will deliver the project across multiple work fronts including airside and landside airport operational areas, within the Midfield Terminal Complex construction site, the East Midfield Terminal area and along the existing E11 Highway.
The Group’s scope of works, which will be delivered across three work fronts, includes:
- Utility Plant site and buildings - Central Utility Plants (CUPs) 1 and 2
- Utility networks (pipework, cabling, chambers)
- Perimeter roads
BIC Contracting will also undertake the design and construction of some key elements of the project including the administration buildings, utility diversions and connections and geophysical investigations.
